Last spring, a new Stokkermill M150 cable recycling line was delivered to the Emirates company Union Copper Rod LLC at their recycling facility in Abu Dhabi Industrial City, one of the most modern and efficient in the ME.
The plant will process 4000 tons of copper per year in two shifts at an average ambient temperature of over 30 °C, with peaks of almost 50 °C during the hottest summer months.
For this critical application Stokkermill developed, together with Union Copper's engineers, a customized process and automation control system after weeks of test and improvements.

The possibility to get a final product from cable scrap gives Union Copper a clear competitive advantage as well as representing a model of sustainable industrial development that can effectively apply the principles of recycling and raw material recovery. It is a perfect example of “circular economy”.
Thanks to the considerable expertise and preparation of UCR's technical team of experienced and well-trained engineers, the installation and commissioning phases of the plant were simple and fast, allowing the plant to start operations and become fully operational very quickly.
As usual, Stokkermill's activities do not stop with the sale, installation and commissioning of the equipment, but continue with after-sales service and technical support to ensure maximum functionality of the equipment customer.

The Multi-Flex M150 Turbo Zig-Zag series consists of four units: refining mill, Zig-Zag sorter, turbo unit and densimetric table plus a primary CSR shredder.
