HV Battery Disassembly Table DSC with Cooling Basin

The DSC HV battery dismantling table with cooling tank allows you to work safely on large end-of-life or damaged batteries (over 200 kg).

It consists of a roller conveyor work surface suspended above a water basin, which automatically submerges the battery pack completely in the event of a short circuit or increase in temperature (thermal runaway) to prevent the possibility of fire.

The release mechanism can be operated either manually when the operator is present or automatically when, for example, the battery pack remains in the working position during the operator's absence.

The temperature is managed by thermal fuses that trip at a certain temperature, e.g., ~68 °C.

In addition, there are thermal imaging cameras or temperature sensors that continuously monitor the battery.

If the mechanism is activated, the bench can be safely transported and stored outside the building or in an area designated for the safe removal of the faulty battery.

Safe Industrial Solution for High-Voltage Lithium-Ion Battery Dismantling

The HV Battery Disassembly DSC Table with Cooling Basin is an industrial safety system designed for the safe dismantling, testing and handling of high-voltage lithium-ion batteries from electric vehicles and energy storage systems.

Developed for battery recycling plants, dismantling facilities and industrial treatment lines, this solution minimizes the risks associated with thermal runaway, overheating and fire events, ensuring a controlled and secure working environment.

Industrial Safety for EV Battery Dismantling

Handling EV and high-voltage batteries requires advanced safety measures.

This disassembly table allows operators to perform battery dismantling, module replacement, testing and charge/discharge operations while maintaining full control of potential critical situations.

In the event of overheating or abnormal temperature rise, the system enables the immediate lowering of the battery into a high-capacity cooling and extinguishing basin, providing rapid thermal containment.

Thermal Runaway Protection System

The integrated cooling basin is specifically designed to mitigate thermal runaway events in lithium-ion batteries.

Activation can be:

• Manual, via emergency control

• Automatic, through:

o Thermal fuses

o CO₂ activation system

o Optional thermal camera monitoring

When the temperature exceeds 68 °C, the battery is automatically submerged in the basin, significantly reducing the risk of fire propagation and structural damage.

Designed for Battery Recycling Plants

This system is ideal for:

• EV battery recycling plants

• Lithium-ion battery treatment lines

• Automotive dismantling facilities

• Energy storage system handling

• Pilot and industrial recycling plants

The robust industrial design allows easy integration into complete battery recycling lines, making it a key safety component in modern lithium-ion recycling processes.
