The electric vehicle (EV) recycling market is facing a critical challenge: how to dismantle high-voltage battery packs while ensuring operator safety and protecting facilities. The risk of thermal runaway is the number one threat for companies involved in second life applications, refurbishing, or pre-treatment for black mass recovery.
Stokkermill addresses this need with the DSC Series, a disassembly table specifically engineered to neutralize fire risk at its source.

Unlike standard workbenches, the DSC table is an active safety system. Its structure is built around two core components:
Upper Work Grate
A robust, fully accessible surface where operators perform battery pack opening, diagnostics, and module disassembly.
Integrated Immersion Tank Below
A built-in tank filled with water or a fire-suppressant liquid.
In the event of an emergency—such as smoke, overheating, or sparks—the work surface can rapidly lower the battery pack or modules directly into the tank. Immediate immersion drastically reduces temperature, stopping the chain chemical reaction typical of lithium-ion batteries and preventing thermal runaway.
In the automotive and energy storage sectors, there is no single size standard. A Tesla battery pack has very different dimensions compared to an e-bike battery or an industrial forklift battery.
For this reason, Stokkermill designs DSC tables tailored to customer specifications. Customization options include:
Work platform dimensions: 2,700 × 1,900 × 920 mm
Support frame dimensions: 1,435 × 1,280 × 920 mm
Maximum battery dimensions: 2,650 × 1,850 mm
Load capacity: Up to 1,000 kg
Cooling tank capacity: 2,980 liters
Automatic activation temperature: 68°C (154°F)
Automation: Hydraulic grid movement and automated lid opening/closing (sealed quarantine mode)
Filtration system: Integration with filtration units for post-immersion wastewater management
This modular, made-to-order approach ensures maximum safety and efficiency across all EV, industrial, and energy storage battery applications.
