Every industrial recycling project should begin with a series of precise questions:
What material enters the plant? What dimensions, compositions and contamination levels does it present? Which fractions need to be recovered? At what quality and with what degree of consistency must they be produced?
There is no single configuration suitable for every material stream. The choice of technologies, size-reduction stages and separation systems depends on the input conditions and the required industrial result.
For this reason, Stokkermill develops machines and plants that can be configured according to real materials, production capacities and the customer’s recovery targets.
In cable processing, obtaining a marketable metal fraction does not depend on granulation alone.
Cable type and composition, the presence of ferrous material, conductor diameter, insulation materials and hourly throughput all influence the complete process. Input preparation, granulation, separation and refining must therefore be considered as parts of a single system.
Stokkermill cable recycling solutions are configured to process different material streams and produce metal and plastic fractions compatible with their subsequent industrial applications.
Photovoltaic panels also constitute a variable input. Their dimensions, structure, construction technology, the presence of the frame and the condition of the module can all change the requirements of the process.
Stokkermill’s mechanical solutions for photovoltaic panel recycling are developed with different capacity and automation levels. The objective is to progressively liberate and separate the fractions that make up the module, without treating the panel as a uniform material.
The plant configuration therefore starts with the available volumes, input conditions and outputs that the operator intends to obtain.
The visual complexity of a plant is not, by itself, an adequate indicator of its performance.
The value of a recycling line is measured by the outputs it produces, the consistency with which it produces them and the possibility of directing the recovered fractions towards further industrial processes.
Technical discussions must therefore be based on input characteristics, recovery targets and real operating conditions, rather than exclusively on tests conducted under ideal conditions.
