BLACK BOX ST57100 Stokkermill cable stripper for armoured cables

The Black Box ST57100 was developed precisely to meet this need. It is an STOKKERMILL cable stripper designed and manufactured by Seltek to process armoured cables as well as standard cables, separating the metallic components – copper, aluminium and any steel armour – from the outer plastic or rubber sheath in a single pass. The result is two clean fractions, ready to be sent to their respective recovery channels, with a direct economic benefit for those managing the recycling process: the recovered copper and metals retain a much higher market value when correctly separated from the plastic component.

01 · THE MACHINE

Engineered for the strength of armoured cables.

Armoured electrical cables, protected by steel wire braiding or metallic tape, are widely used in the energy, telecommunications, marine and underground infrastructure sectors. Their mechanical strength, however, makes them difficult to process with a conventional cable stripping machine: the armour can rapidly wear the blades, become jammed in the cutting chamber and prevent clean separation of the metal from the insulating sheath.

The Black Box ST57100 was developed specifically for this application. Designed and manufactured by Seltek, it processes both armoured and standard cables, separating copper, aluminium and any steel armour from the outer plastic or rubber sheath in a single pass. The resulting fractions are clean and ready for their respective recovery channels, helping preserve the market value of the recovered metals.

02 · BENEFITS

Why choose the Black Box ST57100.

01

Designed for armoured cables

The cutting unit is sized to process cables with steel wire braiding or metallic tape, as well as standard cables.

02

Clean material recovery

Metal and sheath are separated in a single pass, reducing processing time and improving the quality of the recovered material.

03

Integrated safety

A fully enclosed cabinet, interlocked loading door and emergency-stop button help protect the operator.

04

Reduced noise level

The enclosed cabinet helps keep the machine's sound level within 75 dB(A).

05

Compact and straightforward

A single motor and compact design simplify installation, power supply and maintenance, even where space is limited.

03 · APPLICATIONS

From decommissioning sites to metal recovery.

The Black Box ST57100 is designed for scrap processors, metal collection and recycling centres, and cable processing plants handling material from electrical decommissioning, construction sites, marine installations, telecommunications networks and underground power distribution systems.

It is a dedicated solution for operations where armoured cables account for a significant proportion of the input material and require more robust processing than conventional cable stripping machines can provide.
