Solar panels recycling

Solar panel recycling plant in Sardinia with a capacity of up to 3,000 kg/h

Stokkermill has completed the commissioning of a new solar panel recycling plant in Sardinia, Southern Italy.

The line has been designed for the mechanical processing of end-of-life photovoltaic modules and achieves a production capacity of up to 3,000 kg/h. The process enables the controlled size reduction and separation of the materials contained within the panels, preparing the recovered fractions for subsequent sorting and valorisation stages.

The plant integrates the different processing stages into a complete industrial solution developed to ensure operational continuity, efficient material handling and consistent output quality. The line configuration was defined according to the characteristics of the panels being processed, the required production capacity and the customer’s specific objectives.

During installation and commissioning, the Stokkermill technical team supervised the verification of the main operating parameters and the optimisation of the entire production process.

This new installation strengthens Stokkermill’s presence in the solar panel recycling sector in Italy and confirms the company’s experience in designing industrial plants for the recovery of photovoltaic modules, developed around the customer’s actual operating requirements.
